This video captures an incredible opportunity I had with the Quad City Symphony!

The QCSO commissioned composer Jim Stephenson to write a piece inspired by the Quad Cities and Bix Beiderbecke. Jim and Matthew Onstad took some time to play Bix's 1927 Bach cornet at the Putnam Museum and it plays so well that Matthew performed this national treasure on Jim's new piece, CitySpeaks, for Masterworks VI: Quad Cities Past & Present concerts on April 6 and 7, 2019.
